This Saturday, participants in the training session with coach Alexander discussed the “Equation of Your Life.” This “equation” consists of the following: heredity (20%); environment (20%); life circumstances (10%); lifestyle (50%).
Using Ronald Reagan's life as an example, the participants “solved the equation.” After all, Ronald had a father who liked to drink. Ronald grew up in a poor neighborhood where people did not even have the opportunity to get a general education. But neither heredity nor the environment and circumstances of his life “broke” little Ronald. He chose his own way of life. This way of life, from a poor boy to a successful actor and governor of California, led him to become one of the most influential presidents of the United States of America. And that is why the choice of lifestyle is the main lever that determines what our future will be.
We discussed basic needs (food, sleep, clothing, housing). All of these needs are provided by parents until the age of 18-21. This allows teenagers to focus on their development (intellect, character, sports, creativity), which will ultimately lead to success in life.
Our successful life is like a road. A straight road where we work on ourselves. There are many paths on this road that can lead us away from success. We can turn onto the “path” of drug addiction, smoking, alcoholism, crime, extramarital sex, negative words, pessimism, laziness, and we will not be able to turn back from there. Some may say, “You have to try everything,” but our participants have come to deeply understand that every choice has consequences. Consequences that can destroy their happy future.
