The estate with a large adjacent plot of land was donated to the "Smile as a Gift" organization by a local woman, a nun of the Roman Catholic Church of Bulets Morika, who dedicated her life to God and became a Carmelite sister in the monastery of the Bosi Carmelitka OSD.

In 2010-2017, in this building with the strong support of prof. Volodymyr Krchmera, the Children's House of St. Elizaveta. As the children gradually grew up, this spacious building remained unused. With the escalation of the military conflict, we started a rapid reconstruction of the building so that 24 children from Mariupol and their foster parents and teacher volunteers, as displaced persons, could use it as a new safe home as soon as possible.

Today they live in this 8-bedroom family home with a large kitchen and four full social rooms. The children are under the care of a professional family - a couple who have passed training in custodial parenting in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, intended for children who live outside their own biological family. Each child is entrusted to this family by the relevant decisions of local Ukrainian courts. The Regional Service for Children of the Zakarpattia Oblast carries out the duties and supervision of the guardianship of this professional family.
